It’s distinct elegant gothic exterior dating back to mid 1800’s, has a unique modern internal design offering a lounge bar & grill which is relaxing for day to day visits for coffee or bite to eat..

Carmelite shows above 2 of the 6 highly individual and spacious suites, and  also offers 11 impressive designed rooms on the 1st floor. A further 32 standard rooms with some offering very economical rates are available on the 2nd & 3rd floors.

Located in the city’s Merchant Quarter, which is one of the oldest parts of Aberdeen with fabulous historical architectural buildings, Carmelite is wrapped by the three main shopping centres and the city’s transport hub of train & bus station, direct airport link and the harbour offering an ideal base for city business or leisure, adjacent to all travel links, city business offices, theatres and museums, and city night life.

Coffee & breakfast snacks open to non residents 7am - 10.30am. All day menu served 10.30 - 6pm 7 days. Restaurant dinner served 6pm - 10pm 7 days.

Carmelite Bar & Grill has extensive relaxing sofa’s in an open lounge and dining areas, ideal for popping in as you stroll from the transport hub through Merchant Quarter to the many city offices, retail centres, and cultural venues. Open from 7am for coffee, bacon rolls & breakfast snacks, and an all day snack and full restaurant menu which attracts many locals and residents alike. They offer fantastic unique Vintage Intoxicating Afternoon Tea, not to mention some of the city’s best cocktails, champagnes, wines, local BREW DOG beers and extensive local and regional malt whisky’s.

The extensive lunch & dinner menus have varied options prepared and cooked by their chef’s from North East of Scotland fabulous food larder from local suppliers, A renound reputation for their Carmelite professional yet relaxed service.

Banqueting

Choose from either the smaller intimate Library for meetings upto 50 delegates, or private dining upto 26, or the impressive Balmoral Ballroom for meetings and dining upto 135 guests. Both rooms are situated next to reception on the ground floor offering flexible pricing for conferences, meetings, presentations, banqueting dinners and party’s.

Free WiFi throughout the building, as well as one of the largest presentation screens in the city with a ceiling mounted projector in the Balmoral Ballroom.
